Thirteen teachers from Coimbatore selected for State
Dr. Radhakrishnan Award

Thirteen teachers from Coimbatore district have been selected for the State-level Dr. Radhakrishnan Award for the academic year 2025-26. The award, instituted by the Government of Tamil Nadu to commemorate the birth anniversary of former President Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, is presented annually on Teachers’ Day to recognise service in the field of education. Each recipient will receive ₹10,000 in cash, a silver medal and a certificate of appreciation.

According to the School Education Department, a total of 386 teachers across Tamil Nadu will receive the award this year.

Arputha Mary, Headmistress of Corporation Primary School, Ramasamy Nagar; Amudha, Headmistress of Panchayat Union Primary School, Kanthurai; Gomathi, Headmistress of Panchayat Union Primary School, Negamam; Sakthivel of Corporation Middle School, Masakalipalayam; Thirumurugan of Panchayat Union Middle School, Moolathurai; Mathiyazhagan, Headmaster In-charge of Panchayat Union Middle School, Pettathapuram; Sumathi of Government High School, Gandhi Nagar; Socrates Kulasekaran of Government Higher Secondary School, Velliyangadu; Vivekanandan of Thambu Higher Secondary School, Press Colony; Sakila, Headmistress of Mariammal Girls Higher Secondary School, Pollachi; Nalini, Headmistress of Sri Avinashilingam Girls Higher Secondary School; Anandkumar of Municipal Girls Higher Secondary School, Mettupalayam
