Carmel Garden, the first Matriculation School for boys
in the city of Coimbatore was started on the first of June 1964 by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Coimbatore under the auspices of the R.C.Mission founded by Hisexcellency Most Rev.Francis.M.Savarimuthu. Our School got recognition from the university of Madras in August 1966. Following the old eleven year pattern, Std XI was started in the year 1969-70 and yielded centum results. With the introduction of 10+2 pattern in 1978-1979, the first batch of 12th standard appeared for the public examination in March 1980 securing 100% results. In June 1981, Carmel Nursery was started to chisel and mould the tiny minds with creative learning and caring environment.
The "Silver Jubilee" was celebrated in the year 1989-90. Yet another milestone in the history of Carmel Garden was its "Golden Jubilee Celebration" in the year 2014-2015. We consider education as a tool for social transformation and classroom as the shaper of the envisioned destiny.
Our mission is to impart education rooted with Spiritual values and self-discipline, to emphasize on the social,
emotional, physical and intellectual development of each child, to derive motivation from success and to gain maturity from setbacks and to create a rapport between the management, students and the parents.
With this intentions we have entered into the Diamond Jubilee year 2024. Being the important phase of our school history we want to serve with the motto of "Go back to Original". Let us join together as management, staff, students and parents to accomplish this motto. May God give us strength to fulfill this Vision into Mission.
